Former Director of Education Chris Key brings 10 years of educational experience to new role
ATLANTA, GA (November 30, 2010) – Sanford-Brown College (SBC) - Atlanta, a career-focused institution offering allied heath certificates and specialized associate degrees, has appointed Chris Key its new president. Key officially assumed his new position with SBC on October 15, replacing former president Danielle Millman who was promoted to vice president of operations for the health education division of Career Education Corporation.
In his role as president, Key will oversee the day-to-day operations at the Atlanta campus, while ensuring a student-centered learning environment. Key has been with SBC - Atlanta for six years, first as the director of admissions and most recently as the director of education.
“I’m pleased that Chris will serve as my successor and president of SBC - Atlanta,” said Millman. “In our years spent as colleagues, I’ve been impressed by Chris’ innate ability to connect and build rapport with students in a way that fosters enthusiasm for learning and academic success.”
Key has been with Career Education Corporation for a total of 10 years, with a primary focus on financial aid and admissions before making the transition into program management and administration.
Key received a master’s degree in rehabilitation psychology and counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also completed his undergraduate work in education and psychology while playing for the Tarheels football team.
