Sanford-Brown Jax MA students volunteered at The Cummer Museum’s 18th annual Very Special Arts (VSA) Festival. This festival provides an opportunity for more than 2,300 students, their parents, and teachers from the surrounding four counties’ public school’s Exceptional Education & Student Services (EE/SS) to experience the beauty of art and to demonstrate their own artistic abilities. This year, more than 1,200 volunteers devoted their time and talent to the Festival. Sanford-Brown students assisted with everything from painting and music to pushing wheelchairs. We’re very proud of their hard work and dedication. Museum staff recognized our students at the closing event, noting that this was our 6th year volunteering. The Festival was from May 7 -10, 2013, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
