SBC-San Antonio Service Learning Event - Nimitz Middle School

May 24, 2013 SBC-San Antonio, General 0 Comments

On May 16, 2013, 33 students and four faculty members from Sanford-Brown College – San Antonio participated in a service learning activity at an area middle school. In partnership with Faith Family Clinic, SBC students assisted in providing physical exams, required for participation on a sports team, for more than 200 students at Nimitz Middle School. This was a great opportunity for the SBC students to apply the skills learned here at Sanford-Brown, while also giving back to the communities we live and work in. The Faith Family Clinic supervisor complimented how professional, fast, and competent our students were and how well they interacted with the middle school students. She was overheard on several occasions tell our students that they "rock".

Thanks to everyone who participated in this tremendously successful service learning opportunity and we look forward to the next event.
