SBI-Iselin Campus Goes Red for Women

February 10, 2014 SBI-Iselin, General 0 Comments

SBI Iselin campus acknowledged the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 7, 2014. Students, staff and faculty were encouraged to wear red in recognition of The Go Red For Women movement. Every year heart disease kills more women than any other disease, more than all forms of cancer combined and more women die each year from heart disease than men. Presentations were made and handouts were available with the risk factors associated with heart disease as well as guidelines and recipes for healthy living that help reduce the incidences of heart disease. SBI Iselin is hoping to make fighting heart disease their mission, not just each February but 365 days a year by bringing their message to area community centers.

SBI Iselin is making heart disease their number one priority:
G: Get your numbers
O: Own your lifestyle

R: Realize your risk
E: Educate your family
D: Don’t be silent
