Social Responsibility

Sanford-Brown takes pride in being involved in its community and providing this valuable experience to the alumni, students, faculty and staff of our colleges and institutes. We are committed to sharing knowledge, skills and learning opportunities that will enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in our communities.

As part of our commitment to being engaged both with our communities and with the world of healthcare, Sanford-Brown is a proud supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities. Across the country, each one of our campuses looks for ways to get involved. We have partnered locally with Ronald McDonald Houses to volunteer time and raise money on behalf of the families these Houses serve every day.

Ronald McDonald House Charities®

Families are stronger when they are together, and their presence helps a sick child heal faster and cope better. While Ronald McDonald House Charities® cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, our programs can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to get and keep their child healthy and happy.

The Ronald McDonald House®, a cornerstone program of RMHC®, allows families to access specialized medical treatment by providing a place to live near the hospital at little to no cost. When a child is sick, parents need a team of support to help them recover. RMHC wants to give children the best chance of recovering - and that means having family nearby for love and support. There are more than 300 Ronald McDonald Houses around the world.

Our Ronald McDonald Family Room® offers a place for families to rest and regroup right at the hospital, close to their sick child. There are over 150 Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in 16 countries and regions.

Our Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles are clinics on wheels that offer affordable healthcare for children, right in their own neighborhood. These state-of-the-art vehicles deliver medical, dental and health education services to more than 100,000 children a year. Currently, there are 40 Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles in 6 countries and regions.

RMHC relies on its strong network of individual donors, corporate supporters, community leaders and more than 30,000 staff and volunteers around the world to fulfill its mission. Each year, RMHC volunteers donate millions of hours to support families in need, saving RMHC and its local Chapters more than 40 million in costs a year.
