SBI-Tampa Community Health Fair

When: August 3rd between 11am - 3pm

You'll learn more about:

  • CPR information workshop for parents to learn tips for infant/child CPR
  • Raffles for backpacks stocked with school supplies (approximately 5 giveaways per hour)
  • Department of Health will offering free HIV rapid testing and education materials, including how to keep children safe from sexual predators/prevention of human trafficking
  • Balloon animals and face painting for the children in attendance
  • Zumba and/or Yoga demonstrations by the NetP@rk Fitness Center
  • Dental Assisting students will provide oral hygiene education and will distribute floss & toothbrushes
  • Massage Therapy students will provide seated massages in the massage therapy lab and will also offer a “Heart and Sole” aromatherapy foot scrubs; there will also be massage clinic vouchers in the “goody” bags given at registration.
  • Vision screenings
  • BMI readings
  • Blood pressure, heart rate & respiration screenings
  • Glucose testing
  • Students will assist with the HCADA booth regarding tobacco prevention and the Poison Help Line booth regarding safety with prescription medicines
  • Cardiovascular Sonography students will demonstrate a beating human heart through ultrasound in our CVS lab
