SBI Trevose: Give Back Week - A Women’s Place

On October 20, 2011 Sanford-Brown in Trevose participated in the corporations Give Back Week by collecting donations of new or gently used clothing for women, men and children for the only domestic violence organization in Bucks County, A Women’s Place.  Together employees and students collected over ** bags of clothing and accessories.  In addition to the clothing drive, a representative from A Women’s Place was able to share with our student’s information on domestic abuse and provide resource information for those in need or know someone in need.  “A Women’s Place provides a full range of assistance and support services for victims of domestic abuse and violence and their children including a free 24-hour confidential hotline, a full-service residential shelter, individual and group counseling, legal and medical advocacy, and children’s programs”.  Sanford-Brown is proud to help such a needed and helpful organization and will continue to provide support in the future.

There were many inquiries about our school and positive comments about how well our students performed throughout the day and evening.  There was also excitement from mall patrons about how they always wanted to get into the medical field and this experience made them excited about a possible new career.  For more information about Sanford-Brown Institute, please contact Laurie Dugan at ldugan@sbphilly.com or 215-436-6928.
