PAWS annually host a Community Open House to showcase Assistance Dogs, training techniques and the dynamic training facilities. Students with the Veterinary Technology Program at SBC – Grand Rapids were on hand to be of service in hosting the event that took place on Saturday, June 26, 2011 at the PAW’s headquarters in Wayland, Michigan. Over 2000 visitors were present to include clients of the network, sponsors, community partners, families and PAWS friends. WLAV Radio was also on the scene for a remote broadcast. VET Tech students assisted in greeting visitors and demonstrations. Other highlights of the day were family activities, great food and fun.
