SBC-San Antonio Event - AIDS Foundation Drive

October 11, 2010

Sanford-Brown College is currently holding a Donation Drive for The San Antonio AIDS Foundation (SAAF). The collection of donated items will occur through October 11th, and will be dropped off at the foundation by Ms. Ginell Agnew’s Student Success class. SAAF provides compassionate medical care and social services to people with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), and helps prevent the spread of HIV through education and testing.

SAAF is guided by the belief that HIV/AIDS is a disease and those affected by this disease should receive compassion and understanding. They are committed to providing medical care for persons with HIV/AIDS, and education and testing to help prevent the spread of HIV. SAAF advocates a harm reduction philosophy believing that all individuals with HIV need compassionate services, including food and shelter, irrespective of their individual circumstances and practices.

The San Antonio AIDS Foundation is always in need of donated goods for their skilled nursing and hospice program. In particular, they are in need of adult diapers, baby wipes, facial tissues, disposable razors and dandruff shampoo for their residents.

The San Antonio AIDS Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Please deliver all your donated items to Mr. Parker in the Online Center.
