The fourth of a series of seminars developed by the Health Care Prevention System Think Tank of the United Way of Broward County’s Commission on Substance Abuse in partnership with the Sanford Brown Institute, geared towards the medical community.

Featured Speakers:

  • STEPHEN FERRANTE, M.S.W.: He is a professor with Barry University’s School of Social Work, and was the founding Florida Atlantic University Aging Academy Director. Mr. Ferrante, a Ph.D. candidate, is a managing partner of Group Victory strategy and organization development consulting firm.
  • Dr. Joel Kaufman, Ph.D.: Dr. Kaufman received his Ph.D. from University of Iowa in Counseling and his Masters degree from University of Nebraska in Educational Psychology. He currently serves on the Broward DJJ board as well as the Board of Governors of United Way’s Commission on Substance Abuse.
