Grants and Scholarships

Sanford-Brown offers students who meet eligibility criteria, the opportunity to take advantage of a number of institutional grants and scholarships. Please refer to the Financial Aid section of the catalog for the campus you are interested in attending. Sanford-Brown catalogs contain detailed information about these programs. A Sanford-Brown Financial Aid Representative can also help you determine if you qualify for any of the grants and scholarships offered at your chosen campus. Students are encouraged to apply not only for Sanford-Brown’s scholarships but also to look for outside scholarships and scholarship competitions to help finance their education.

WIA (Workforce Investment Act) is a government agency that provides workforce developmental services to dislocated workers. The purpose of WIA is to increase occupational skill, employment and earnings of candidates by way of educational grants to provide training for in-demand industries and occupations. WIA works in conjunction with educational facilities like Sanford-Brown to provide innovative job training to build a stronger workforce and economy.

In accordance with the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008, Sanford-Brown has established a Yellow Ribbon Grant. Eligibility and amounts are determined on an annual basis (on or after August 1st) and are subject to change.
