Three years as Program Director for SBI Tampa, one year Technician Manager/Purchaser for a hospital setting, one year as Adjunct Instructor, two years clinical coordinator and IV pharmacy technician for Moffitt Cancer Center – Home Infusion Dept., two years as IV technician for long-term care pharmacy, three years as a retail pharmacy technician

Roderick V Kelly, LMT, BS
Title/Position:
Program Director, Massage Therapy/Module1
Educational Background:
A.S. Degree in Computer Graphics and Design from Keiser College, Sarasota FL
B. S. in Alternative Medicine from Everglades University, Sarasota, FL
Work Experience:
Mr. Kelly graduated from Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in 1988; he became licensed later that year. He was employed in different massage practice settings, such as spas, chiropractic offices, and his own private practice.
From 1991 until 1997, Mr. Kelly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman and a Laboratory Technician. His duties included but were not limited to, first aid instructor, HIV/AIDS educator, CPR instructor, and ship-board instructor on the USS Sacramento AOE-1. While on-board he earned a Personal Training Certificate by correspondence. He also served in the Gulf War and Somalia. During this time he received reciprocity from the state of Florida to become a LMT in Washington State. He continued his education and received a certificate in Shiatsu and Chinese Medicine from the BJ Green Institute in San Francisco, CA, in 1995.
Following his Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 1997, he worked at the BioCypher Labs in Sacramento, CA until 1999. While there he was a Laboratory Technician and performed day to day lab tests on various specimens and maintained technical and expensive lab equipment. He also continued his private massage practice in California until 2002.
What I teach at Sanford-Brown:
In the fall of 2004 he became an adjunct instructor at Sanford Brown Institute in Tampa, Florida. He has instructed students in numerous classes of the Massage program. He has developed an extensive review for the licensing exam for Massage Therapy. He has been the Program Director for the Massage Therapy program since 2006.

Educational Background
Doctor in Medicine from Universidad Central del Este.
Ultrasound degree from Ultrasound Technical Services.
Work Experience:
16 years in clinical ultrasound imaging in; cardiology, vascular, abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology.
Training in radiology and general surgery.
Experience in national and international teleradiology and as an ultrasound consultant.

Work Experience:
Over Twenty years experience in the Dental Field-Dental Assistant 11 years, Dental Software trainer 2 years, Dental Office Manager 7 years. When I joined SBI-Tampa I was the lead instructor for 2 ½ year, 6 months clinical coordinator, and presently Dental Assisting Program Director.
