Sanford-Brown College-Chicago has just returned from their annual New York Fashion Week study trip for 2014! The students had a jam packed 7 days immersed in the fashion industry. Every September a group of 10-14 Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design students go to NY and observe the industry during the busiest, and most exciting, time of the year; Spring/Summer Fashion week. The trip includes visits to designers, showrooms, trending services and retailers to obtain an inside look at the industry. Of course there are also the Fashion shows and celebrity spotting that is intrinsic to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week!

Sanford-Brown Chicago Students at NY Fashion WeekThis year’s group attended a record 10 shows! The glitz and glamour of fashion shows and celebrities did little to deter them on their mission of understanding all the career decisions they face in the fashion industry. The students kept to a tight schedule starting their days at 8 a.m. and going straight through until their last show finished at 9:45p.m. The goal being to network, schmooze and make the industry connections that help launch a career. The icing on the cake this year.... four students came home with an internship in hand!

The group will present their trip to the school on September 25th at 3 pm.
