At Sanford-Brown, we recognize the importance of preparing our students to become caring professionals – and giving back to the communities in which we live and teach.
Students from our Sanford-Brown campuses across the country had the opportunity to help provide vital services to those in need. Volunteer a few hours of your time – it can make a big difference to our communities, and to you.
Help us Give Back to our Community!
- Get the satisfaction of helping others.
- Volunteer a few hours of your day to help others less fortunate.
Activities occurring on various campuses include blood and bone marrow drives, general health screenings, vision screenings, athletic screenings, and pet screenings. Activities that students and faculty will participate in off-campus include volunteering at nursing homes, shelters, food banks and clinics.

Sanford-Brown has a Service Learning component into our curriculum at each one of our campus. This enhancement to curricula is intended to provide an opportunity to engage students in the educational process by requiring them to apply their classroom learning to help solve real-life problems. The curriculum will require each student to participate in Service Learning activities as they progress in their programs.
Each Service Learning project will utilize skills learned in the classroom based on the student’s specific program. For example, a student in the medical assistant program might work at a blood drive, flu shot clinic and/or vision screening while a student in the pharmacy technician program could provide poison prevention education to local youth organizations and/or assistance in disposing of expired prescriptions.
At the end of any Service Learning activity, students will reflect in writing and presentations how the activity related to their program and benefitted the communities they serve.
