SBI-Trevose Gives Back to the Philadelphia Community with a $5,000 Donation
Sanford-Brown Institute – Trevose (SBI) has committed to sponsor the “Change the Luck of a Child” Phone Bank benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Philadelphia Region. The telethon aired live this past March 15th on CBS3 and CW Philly.
SBI-Trevose students raised the donation money by selling “Change the Luck Chain” links on campus.
“We are happy to support the 2011 RMHC “Change the Luck of a Child” Phone Bank and continue Sanford-Brown’s tradition of giving back to the greater Philadelphia community,” says President Matthew Diacont, SBI-Trevose.
RMHC of the Philadelphia Region hosted their first-ever “Caring Calls for Kids” Phone Bank on March 9, 2010 and raised more than $350,000 to benefit the charity during the 5-hour live broadcast. RMHC strives to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
This year Flyers Alumni, Sixers Dance Team and on-air talent from CBS3, the CW Philly and local CBS radio stations as well as students and staff from Sanford-Brown Institute volunteered as phone operators.
