Sanford Brown Cleveland Speaker Chris JerryChris Jerry is a patient advocate who came to speak to the Pharmacy Technician and Medical Assistant students about safety issues concerning patients.

On Thursday, July 18, Chris Jerry spoke to a group of Pharmacy Technology and Medical Assistant students. Chris Jerry's daughter was tragically killed by a Pharmacy Technician's error during a final chemotherapy treatment. Emily Jerry was just two years old when she was taken from this earth. Chris Jerry is an advocate for patient safety and travels the world to deliver his message. He is the impetus for Emily's Law which requires all Pharmacy Technicians in the state of Ohio to be certified. Mr. Jerry had many people in his audience tearful as he told his heart-wrenching story about his beautiful girl whom he can no longer hug.
