On Saturday, August 13, 2011, nine Medical Assistant students joined Sam’s Club in Willow Grove, PA for their Health Screenings. Our students assisted the Pharmacist and the clinicians on site by performing blood pressures, helping with eye examinations and spreading the word about the free screenings throughout the store to the patrons.

There were over 70 shoppers who took advantage of one or all of the free screenings that were available. Our students were able to gain valuable experiences in interpersonal communication skills and various clinical skills. It was a great day for everyone and SBI students did an awesome job!
