The Results of the March 22, 2014 SBI-Fort Lauderdale Family Wellness Health Fair

Sanford Brown Fort Lauderdale Family Wellness Health Fair ResultsOur campus hosted a successful Family Wellness Health Fair for humans and a low cost vaccination clinic for cats and dogs! During the Health Fair, SBI students, staff and faculty raised $1167 for from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center!

  • 66 dogs & 4 cats received vaccinations and several pets had their ears cleaned and nails trimmed by Veterinary Technology Students & Faculty. All the proceeds will be donated to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
  • 51 Patients received FREE 10 Minute Dental Cleaning (Prophylaxis) from Dental Hygiene Students! Staff & Faculty worked together to assist the students!
  • 20 patients received FREE Medical Screenings from Medical Assisting Students.
  • 13 Children received FREE Dental Imprinting from Dental Assisting Students & Faculty.
  • Karl from the Loggerhead Marinelife Center educated everyone about endangered turtles and how the Loggerhead Marinelife Center helps turtles injured by boats and fishing nets.
  • SBI Staff sold food & water in order raise money for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center.
  • YMCA Lauderhill Staff and Y100 Radio Staff had tables at the event and educated guests about their products and services.
