Career Services Guidance
As Sanford-Brown students near graduation, the graduate employment assistance process intensifies. Our Career Service Department is an on-campus resource that assists students and graduates with resume writing, interviewing skills and professional networking techniques. Students may interview both on and off campus until they have secured an appropriate position.
The partnership between a graduate and Career Services has the greatest potential for successful employment when graduates maintain weekly contact with their Career Services Representative.
One of the resources we make available to Sanford-Brown students is Optimal Resume, a suite of online career tools that walks them through every phase of the career development process. Students can identify their career interests and related skills, build traditional and web 2.0 career materials, practice for interviews and connect with prospective employers. Students are guided through the entire process by clearly written instructions and professionally created reference samples. And, because the Optimal Resume software is fully integrated with Sanford-Brown's Career Services office, students can easily share their materials with career counselors.
Optimal Resume offers prospective employers several state-of-the-art ways to find and interact with candidates. Whether they prefer to post jobs or search resumes, Optimal Resume provides employers with an exclusive interactive screening platform that allows them to conduct online interviews and videoconferences with candidates from a single portal.
