Sanford Brown Tampa Martinis and MammogramsOn Tuesday, August 27th, Massage Therapy students, together with lead instructor Jennifer Wasylyna provided seated massage to event participants at “Martinis and Mammograms,” an after 5:00 p.m. event sponsored by The Women’s Center at Memorial Hospital in Tampa, to encourage women to take care of their health screening needs. Complimentary dinner and drinks were provided to patients, and a variety of screenings were offered, including Mammogram, Bone Density Scan, Calcium Score, and Blood Pressure.

The students provided seated massages to ladies waiting for their health screenings.

The event is held monthly, and massage students will be a regular part of this event going forward. Their participation has also opened doors for additional service learning opportunities in various other programs offered at Sanford-Brown Institute Tampa.
