SBI-Austin – Pink Heals 5k Run/Walk

Sanford-Brown Austin participated in the 5k Pink Heals Run/Walk beginning on Saturday, October 22, 2011. The race was held on 9th & Main Street at the historic fire station) in downtown Georgetown, TX. The Pink Heals Tour stop aims to raise money and awareness for women affected by all cancers and is sponsored by the Georgetown Fire Department and the Georgetown Association of Professional Firefighters.

Firefighters and fire trucks from Austin, Cedar Park, Florence, Leander, Liberty Hill, Round Rock, Taylor, Pflugerville, Jarrell and Weir were also in the parade and at the tour stop. The pink fire trucks are part of the Guardians of the Ribbon national tour. The Georgetown Fire Department Pipes and Drums Band, along with other members from E.S.P.A.D.A., will be performing at this year’s tour stop.
