SBI New York Holds MA Week And Annual Spelling Bee

On October 18-23, New York hosted the 6th Annual Medical Terminology Spelling Bee Contest and this is repeated for all MA sessions
First Round
Dr .Basar and company went room to room and each individual MA
Student was requested to spell 5 medical terms.
Then the Second Round.
The list was filtered down to TOP 10 for each session.
Second Round
Each 10 contestants were give n10 medical terms to spell
Third Round
The Top 3 or 4 contestants were asked to spell 5 more medical terms
Until we came up with TOP 3 winners for each session.
Sample of Medical Terms to spell:
- ptosis
- orthopnea
- otomycosis
- poikilocytosis
- esophagogastrectomy
- thrombocytopenia
- cholelithotomy
- cryptorchidism
