Successful Career Services Week 2012 at Sanford-Brown College-Farmington

Over 150 students and alumni attended " Career Services Week"  events held  April 23rd – April 27th at the SBC Farmington campus.   Thanks to everyone’s hard work and participation Career Services Week was a success and fun for all!

  • Monday , April 23 – "Dress for Success" .  Do’s and Don’ts’s of dressing for the interview.  Fashion show and guest speaker, Debbie Wright, demonstrated acceptable dress, make-up and hair for overall appearance.
  • Tuesday, April 24 –"Get Ready, Set , Interview " Career Services  facilitated a series of workshops, resume writing, interviewing skills, both behavioral and traditional (role playing), networking, presentation and communication skills.
  • Wednesday, April 25 – "Lessons Learned From College" A panel of SBC Alumni discussed career success to current students. The panel discussed transitioning from college to the workforce focusing on topics such as their view of the job market, personal achievements, and what it means to be an SBC graduate.
  • Thursday, April 26 –" Professional Day " Employers from Hospital of Central Connecticut, ProHealth Physicians, DME Living Well, and a local recruitment agency spoke to current students about  the world of work in an open discussion.
  • Friday, April 27 –" Alumni Luncheon" - . Career Services hosted its 4th Alumni luncheon. There Alumni networked with fellow classmates, attended a brief workshop and reviewed their resumes.
