On May 7th, Sanford-Brown students and along with staff helped to make the Woman of the World Conference in Milwaukee a success. Students participated in Service Learning projects including performing blood pressure, pulse readings, cholesterol, glucose, height, weight and BMI readings for over 300 attendees. This brings our total number of Health Screenings for the year to 2159 for the community members.
In addition, adjunct instructor Ms Julia Means, RN - recipient of the 2009 State of Wisconsin Nurse of the Year Award, was a guest presenter for the general audience regarding Diabetic Education and staying healthy.
Admissions personnel presented information to the public regarding programs offered at SBC-Milwaukee.
