Way to go SBI Cranston MA Students!
On Wednesday March 2nd, our SBI Cranston campus Medical Assisting students performed free blood pressure screens at a local Stop & Shop.
The students were from the MA 140 - Clinical Procedures Class, and the project served as a Service Learning Activity. In Clinical Procedures, students learn from a textbook, as well as record and take blood pressures in a lab setting. The experience of working with the general public completed the process and served as a positive experience. Students worked well together in a group situation, and they were able to take and record blood pressures that were other than normal.
