Sanford-Brown College-Skokie provided free health screenings
On July 28th, the Medical Assisting students from Sanford-Brown College – Skokie, IL provided free health screenings for “Healing the Hood” presented by Emmaus Ministries and Project Vida. Students served community members living on the Westside of Chicago, IL. The free health screenings included: blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and explaining results to participants. Students enjoyed working with over 150 community participants attending the event.
The MA Students also participated in a group Yoga class, promoting physical activity as an important component to overall good health.
