Students in the Medical Assistant Program at Sanford Brown College in Collinsville volunteer their time and energy on a regular basis to help raise money for a number of local charities. The group decided to put together a cookbook to sell in order to support Fallen Heroes: The Wounded Warriors Fund, an organization that provides assistance to soldiers who have been wounded in battle.
The recipes in the book are all donated by students. The book offers recipes for a wide range of dishes, including Oatmeal Cake, Plantation Casserole, Mandarin Orange & Pear Salad with Toasted Pecan Vinaigrette, and Curry Dip! Philip Hancock, a student, donated his artwork skills to the project. Students printed and assembled the booklet. It was truly a heartfelt team effort! They are offering the cookbooks for only $5.00 each.
If interested in purchasing, and supporting a worthy cause, please email rachel.gaertner@sbc-collinsville.com. The book will be delivered right to you!
