SBC-Skokie ends July and begins August with Service Learning Activities

On July 30th, 2011, Sanford-Brown College in Skokie held a service learning health fair for the Skokie community.  The Dental Assisting students provided demonstrations on the proper toothbrushing techniques. The Dialysis Technology students provided information on transplantation and proper nutrition. The Medical Assistants and Bilingual Medical Assistants provided blood pressure and glucose screenings. The Surgical Technology students explained the proper usage and placement of surgical instruments.

On August 3rd, 2011, Medical Assistant students provided free health screenings at Niles Township Schools’ English Language Learning Parent Center.

Congratulations and thanks to the Sanford-Brown College students in Skokie for their hard work in serving the Skokie community!
