Work Experience:
Deb Kent is registered in both adult and pediatric echocardiography. Deb began her career at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, learning echocardiography under the tutelage of Dr. Mark Silverman, Emory Professor of Medicine. After perfecting her skills, Deb began an exciting career in commercial ultrasound as a clinical applications specialist for a leading equipment manufacturer. Deb returned to the clinical environment of ultrasound when she accepted a position as Director of Cardiac Imaging for a pediatric cardiology group. Deb’s next move was to develop her own company devoted to sonographer training and staffing, Imaging and Educational Consultants, Inc. Deb then accepted the position of Program Director at Ultrasound Diagnostic School, where she devoted herself to the training of the students. She also assisted the National Program Director with the cardiovascular curriculum, consulted in the acquisition of equipment, and helped move the school to its current location. Deb joined Sanford-Brown in 2004 where she assists with clinical coordinating and instructs cardiovascular sonography. Deb has volunteered in her community by providing free echocardiography to patients of the Must Ministry Clinic and participates in the pre-season physicals of the Atlanta hockey team, the Thrashers.
