Sanford-Brown College Indianapolis Names President

INDIANAPOLIS (May 3, 2010) – Sanford-Brown College – Indianapolis has named Rod Rumler president of the Indianapolis campus. He has more than 15 years of higher education management experience and has served in various roles throughout this time including CEO, Marketing Management, Institutional Leadership and more.
Rumler will oversee the day-to-day campus operations, admissions and recruitment, while ensuring a student-centered learning environment. He will work with faculty to develop new programs and foster excellence among students and staff, as well as help grow the existing healthcare programs offered by SBC – Indianapolis.

Among his many achievements, Rumler previously served as Board Chairman and CEO of the DeSoto Assimilation Center in Mississippi. Additionally, he was owner of the Campus Kids Learning Center, a facility launched to address child care needs of a substantial population of single moms seeking employment or education in the area. Prior to that, Rumler served as President at Delta Technical College in Southaven, MS and Executive Vice-President at Lincoln Junior College.
He has served as President of the 51 & Main Street Association, an Executive Board Member of the Southaven Chamber of Commerce, City Planning Commissioner for the City of Southaven and numerous other Board positions. Additionally, Rumler was named among the “Top 30 Leaders to Watch in DeSoto County” in 2008.
Mr. Rumler is a graduate of Rockford College with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He earned his Master’s Degree from the University of Loyola at Chicago in Education with an emphasis in Student Personnel and Counseling. He also studied Educational Administration with an Emphasis in Leadership at Illinois State University.
