Sanford-Brown College Names President of Hillside Campus

Michael O’Herron Brings Strong Higher Education Management Skills and Experience to the New Campus Opening in March
Hillside, IL (February 11, 2010) – Sanford-Brown College (SBC) has named Michael O’Herron the president of the Hillside, Illinois campus. He has more than 8 years of higher education management experience and has been on the faculty of several local colleges. O’Herron will serve as the first president at the SBC – Hillside campus which opens on March 15, 2010. The school will be offering programs in the healthcare industry, including Medical Assistant, Health Information Management and Cardiovascular Sonography.
O’Herron will oversee the day-to-day campus operations, admissions and recruitment, while ensuring a student-centered learning environment. He will also work with faculty to develop new programs and foster excellence among students and staff.
The Sanford-Brown name dates back more than 140 years. Today, there are 13 campuses bearing the name Sanford-Brown College and there are 19 other affiliated campuses operating under the names of Sanford-Brown Institute, Missouri College and SBI Campus-an affiliate of Sanford-Brown. This will be the first such school in the Chicago-metro area.

O’Herron previously served in leadership positions for Kaplan College in Milwaukee, Olympia College in North Aurora, Illinois and Olympia College (now Everest College) in Burr Ridge, Illinois. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. He has also completed a number of higher education management training programs.
