"JobFinder Fridays" in May at Sanford-Brown Colleges Provide Resume and Interviewing Tips
ST. LOUIS, MO (May 7, 2009) – Job seekers can get free tips on everything from resume writing to how to best position yourself in an interview at job search events called "JobFinder Fridays" at three Sanford-Brown College campuses during May. The participating Sanford-Brown College campuses are in Fenton, St. Peters, and Collinsville (Illinois). The "JobFinder Friday" events are scheduled on the following dates: Friday, May 8, Friday, May 15, and Friday, May 29. The events are from Noon-4 p.m. at Fenton and St. Peters, and from 1-4 p.m. at Collinsville.
Job hunters can arrive any time during the Friday afternoon events. Trained career services professionals will offer career counseling and advice on interviewing, online job searches, networking, and how to update skill sets to remain competitive. Individuals will have access to the college computers and printers during the event.
"With all the job layoffs locally and the difficulty people are having finding jobs, we wanted to do something to help," said Bonnie Rohe, career services director at Sanford-Brown College in St. Peters. "Our career services professionals can offer an outside perspective that a job-seeker may not have considered."
