President of Sanford-Brown College - St. Peters Appointed to Missouri Association of Career Colleges and Schools

ST. LOUIS, (March 26, 2008) – Sanford-Brown College– St. Peters announced today that Julia Leeman, college president, has been appointed to the Missouri Association of Private Career Colleges and Schools (MAPCCS), a professional organization dedicated to providing quality training for students to become successful employees in business and industry. As part of her role on the board, Leeman participated in Hill Day on February 25 in Jefferson City, Mo., in an effort to bring information to state legislators on key issues impacting students. She will also help plan the organization's annual convention.
"All of the faculty and staff at Sanford–Brown, including myself, are eager to support the community through board commitments and other community involvement, particularly in the education sector," said Leeman. "I consider this not only an opportunity to offer expertise and experience in my field, but also an opportunity to demonstrate the importance of community stewardship to our students."
Leeman is a graduate of University of Missouri – St. Louis where she received her Master of Education degree. With an extensive background in college administration, Leeman has served the students of Sanford-Brown College – St. Peters for four years. Leeman is a member of the American Council on Education, the American College Personnel Association, the Career College Association, and the Missouri Association of Private Career Colleges and Schools. She is also a team leader for the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools.
